Water Heater Installation & Replacement in NYC
Gas and electric water heater installation and replacement in NYC — tank and tankless (including Navien), venting, valves and code compliance by a Licensed Master Plumber.
When a water heater starts leaking, runs out of hot water too fast or is simply past its life, I&I Plumbing replaces it with the right unit for your home or building. We install standard gas and electric tank heaters and high-efficiency tankless systems, and we size each one to how many people and fixtures it has to serve.
Every installation is handled under a New York City Licensed Master Plumber (LMP #1927). We remove the old unit, make the gas, water and venting connections, install new shut-off valves and an expansion tank where needed, and test everything before we leave.

Questions
Tank or tankless — which should I get?
Tankless units heat water on demand, take up less space and use less gas, but cost more up front and may need venting and gas line changes. Tank heaters cost less to install. We'll look at your space, gas supply and household size and recommend the one that makes sense.
How long does a water heater replacement take?
A like-for-like tank replacement is usually done the same day. Switching to tankless or relocating the heater takes longer because of the gas, venting and water connections.
Do you take the old water heater away?
Yes — removal and disposal of the old unit is part of the installation.
